Future of work and Well-being

These are projects funded by the National Science Foundation(NSF) with a focus on promoting well-being and user experience with future technology. The projects are spearheaded by a team of researchers with multi-disciplinary backgrounds from five universities.

The aim of these studies is to investigate and design tools and methods that would improve the quality of interactions with technology of the future. We are interested in designing interactions for productivity and well-being in fully-automated vehicles.

In the current climate of the Covid-19 pandemic, our interest is in understanding and enhancing the quality of work and well-being as more people engage in remote work amidst lockdowns and quarantines. In some ways the conditions of working in a fully automated vehicle and working at home are similar – working in a non-traditional workspace, limited distraction, distractions from non-work related tasks.

In an effort to better understand these conditions, we host online events to share ideas with esteemed professionals from diverse fields. Information about the conversations can be found here.
